Cherie began taking dance lessons in the first grade, and fell in love with performing from that moment on. All through her school years, the love of entertaining others and being on stage kept her busy with music, cheerleading, choir and dance classes. While performing as often as possible, some of her favorite shows she enjoyed performing in were The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Molly), George M!, The Music Man , and Hello Dolly! She graduated from California State University Stanislaus with a Liberal Studies major, with a concentration in Child Development. Cherie also received her Masters of Arts Degree in math and Science curriculum from Fresno Pacific, and taught for Stanislaus County Office of Ed. As a former Miss Stanislaus County, Cherie became involved with choreography, and judging for many local and Stage pageants. Cherie owned her own dance studio in Turlock, and taught dance in North Carolina, as well. She recently judged for Youth Focus, Miss California Stage, and the Youth Accolades Scholarship program, where she enjoys judging talent and personality interviews. There is never a dull moment now for Cherie as she is constantly ‘on the go,’ supporting her four boys’ theater endeavors and passion for the theatre. Cherie loves Center Stage Kids and is honored to be asked to become involved with such gifted teachers and wonderful students.
